Meet The Doctor

Marianne

My name is Marianne –I have been part of Dr. Carta’s team for twenty years. I received my Dental Hygiene degree from Tunxis Community College in 1983. Attending frequent continuing education courses in various dental disciplines has kept me up to date with research, new treatment options, techniques and new products. I am CPR and Arestin certified. I take pride in delivering quality patient care and helping patients to achieve and maintain oral health. It gives me great satisfaction to make patients feel at ease and comfortable during treatment. I enjoy working in a family practice and interacting with patients of all ages. As I grew up in Germany, I speak German fluently.

Kasia

Hi, my name is Kasia. I graduated from Tunxis Community College in 2002 with a degree in Dental Hygiene, and I have been working for Dr. Carta ever since. In 2006, I received certification to administer Local Anesthesia. I am an Arestin-certified expert, as well as CPR-certified. I speak fluently in Polish, and can communicate in Russian as well. If you want a whiter smile, I am the ‘Zoom-whitening technician’ here in the office, and enjoy seeing the great results that patients can get. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, reading, and spending time with my family.

Amy

Amy began her career in 1997, working full time as a dental assistant while achieving her CDA certification. After eight years, she decided to further her dental knowledge and began the steps required toward becoming a dental hygienist. She graduated from Tunxis with her Dental Hygiene degree in 2005. She received her local anesthesia administration certification in 2006 at University of New Haven. She also has a degree in Medical Office Administration with a certificate in Medical Coding. She is currently working towards her Masters Degree in Public Health in hopes to become a hygiene instructor in the future. Amy joined Dr. Carta in November 2005 and continues her commitment to expertise in dental hygiene treatment and excellence in outstanding patient care. "It gives me great satisfaction to make patients feel at ease and comfortable during their treatments. I feel laughter is always the key to a great dental appointment. If you don't laugh once, I haven't done my job." She is an Arestin-certified expert, and she volunteers at the Special Olympics every year since 2003. When Amy isn’t working, she enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her family.

Viva

Viva has been working for Dr. Carta for over eleven years. She graduated from Manchester High School in 2002. She began working part-time after school as an office assistant, and for over seven years has been the receptionist. To learn more and to better serve Dr. Carta’s patients, Viva enjoys going to continuing education courses , which includes a credit-free Dental Assisting course that was given at Manchester Community College. Viva is CPR certified, and also able to do blood pressure readings. In her spare time, Viva likes spending time with her family, photography, and baking. No matter what treatment you’re coming in for, Viva always likes to see the patients leave with a smile on their face.

Beth

I have been working with Dr. Carta as his chair side assistant for twelve years. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the State University of New York/Oswego. I am radiography and C.P.R. certified. I keep current with OSHA and other topics germane to dentistry with continuing education courses such as Shade Selection, Lumineers and Oral Surgery in The General Practice.

During the time I have been with Dr. Carta I have seen the practice grow into a dynamic current one, especially in the area of Esthetic Dentistry. Being creative by nature, I find enhancing our patient’s smiles (and hopefully improving their quality of life) to be exciting and rewarding. There is nothing like seeing the look on a patient’s face when he/she sees the new implant crown that replaces a long tolerated gap! While Implant Dentistry is certainly the most challenging and rewarding procedure performed at Dr. Carta’s office, we also have traditional porcelain and gold crown & bridge work and Lumineer veneers in our esthetic repertoire. Naturally, as a general practice we also offer a wide range of preventative and restorative services also. I pride myself in being attuned to patient needs and do my best to make him/her as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I believe that patient education is a major part of my role as Dental Assistant. Any questions? Please don’t be shy.

She resides in Manchester with her husband Harold. She has a son in medical school in Maine and a daughter in college in New Jersey.
